The Peter Minet Trust seeks to improve the quality of life of people living in the inner city boroughs of South East London, especially Lambeth and Southwark by making grants to registered charities (not individuals) which support social welfare, health and community projects, working with people of any age.

The Trust is equally interested in new ventures, established projects and innovative schemes.

Appeals from charities supporting the arts, culture and conservation are also considered from time to time.

Grants awarded are normally between £1,000 and £3,000.  If you are given a grant, you must wait 18 months before you can apply again.

There is also Small Grant Scheme.

EXCLUSIONS
  • We do not make grants directly to individuals.

We do not normally make grants for: -

  • National appeals by large charities for large sums of money

  • Appeals where all, or most of the beneficiaries live outside the UK

  • Appeals whose sole or main purpose is to make grants from collected funds

  • Endowment or deficit funding

  • Medical or other research

  • Local appeals, outside the inner city boroughs of South London
