Peter Minet Board Introduces Our Ten New Funded Partners
We’re delighted to share that Peter Minet Trust is funding 10 new partnerships. Each group will receive £25,000 a year of unrestricted funding for three years , linked to inflation*. The organisations are a mix of 3 charities and 7 CICs (Limited by Guarantee) and are local, Black-led groups delivering inspiring work in communities in Lambeth and Southwark.
In making decisions in line with Peter Minet Trust’s criteria, the Board funded organisations that demonstrated strong leadership and governance, a clear vision, transparency and a strong local track record. We were inspired by the way these organisations shared the impact that long‑term, flexible funding could have on their work and the communities they support. We also saw a strong alignment with Peter Minet Trust’s values—community, trust, learning, and social justice—and a real openness to reflection and shared learning.
Our Board feels incredibly fortunate to be building partnerships with such an inspiring group of local organisations. They share our commitment to community, trust, learning and social justice – the values at the heart of Peter Minet Trust – and our vision of increasing equitable funding for Black‑led organisations. We’re thrilled that Wakefield Tetley Trust, a Southwark‑based funder, has contributed £50,000 to this work. Their support means we have offered more awards in this round, which we’re genuinely excited about. Tracey Fletcher, Chair
